Turkish Cypriots who had left land in the south were given points calculated on the value of this land and property. The TRNC Government established a ‘points system’ whereby the allocated points were used by the Turkish Cypriots to acquire freehold title to land and property in the TRNC (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) which should, theoretically, be the equivalent value of land left behind in the south.
‘Exchange title land'. Is therefore, Immovable property to which title was acquired in this way by a Turkish Cypriot
'TMD' Title
The same ‘points system’ was also used by the TRNC government to allocate points to other persons, usually in recognition of ‘military service’. ' TMD or Gift Land', is therefore Immovable property to which title was acquired in this way.
